Heads up, all Alberta teacher and makerspace tinkerers! Supported by ATLE, ARPDC, the ATA Library and with prizes provided by vendors, Nicole Lakusta, Angela Dearing and Janet Bell are taking to the road this Spring and Fall to present a Saturday series of in-person repeat “Full STEAM Ahead” workshops! Be inspired to identify and address key competencies we want our students to develop through design thinking, computational thinking, makerspace activities and robotics challenges - all under the umbrella of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math)!

Our team can’t wait to showcase some tried-and-true and some new micro:bit kit and robotic devices with you, engage you in replicable challenges, and best of all leave you with an expanded selection of kits to borrow at no cost from the ATA library! And of course, with true ATLE flair, come prepared for great prize giveaways! Enjoy a fun and productive day of learning!

Who: All teachers, school-based edtech leads, consultants, and library learning commons staff

NOTE TO ALL PARTICIPANTS: *Please bring a laptop or Chromebook with you to this session! We will be using our devices throughout the day.
